NOIDA: The Uttar Pradesh government has posted five additional CEOs (ACEO) in Noida and Greater Noida authorities. The move is likely to provide relief especially to Noida Authority as for the last few months it was functioning with just two senior officers, the chief executive officer PK Agarwal and the deputy chief executive officer Saumya Srivastava. While four of the officials took charge on Tuesday, the fifthACEO, was transferred from Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) to Noida Authority on Tuesday. However, work portfolios to the officials have yet to be assigned and is likely to be done on October 26.
Noida Authority has been facing a shortage of officials since July this year. Lack of senior officials in the Authority had started affecting functioning of the authority. However, that will be improved as Noida will now have four ACEOs and one Deputy CEO. GNIDA will also have four ACEOs and an OSD beside the CEO, Deepak Agarwal.
Devi Sharan Upadhyay and Ashok Kumar Shrivastava have on Tuesday joined the Noida authority office, while Satish Kumar and Vimal Kumar Sharma also have joined at the Greater Noida authority. Shishir Singh, who has been transferred from GNIDA to Noida as ACEO is yet to officially take charge in Noida. Another additional CEO Arun Vir Singh, who was on one and half month leave has also joined Noida on Tuesday.
