NAVI MUMBAI: Deputy engineer of NMMC town planning department, Shahaji Paralkar, has lodged a complaint at Nerul police station against three persons for allegedly using a forged Occupancy Certificate (OC) for registering a sale deed agreement of a flat in a building at Sarsole village. The forged OC was submitted to the joint sub-registrar’s office at Nerul.
Cheating and forgery charges were slapped against Geeta Madhvi and Gulshan Madhvi, the owners of the Gaothan Extension Scheme (GES) plot in Sarsole and developer Mukesh Gupta who had executed the sale deed agreement of the flat in the five -storey residential building.
Shahaji Paralkar said, “As per the directions of the additional director of town planning of NMMC, I have registered an FIR against the three persons. ”
In February, a real estate agent from Koparkhairane had obtained original documents of the OC, that belonged to another owner of a plot in Shirawane, which was forged and submitted for registration of the Sarsole flat through RTI.
It was brought to the notice of the sub-joint registrar at Nerul who had replied that he was not authorized to verify the authenticity of the documents submitted for property registration.
The accused trio is yet to be arrested as the cops are verifying documents.
